Us justice is built to humiliate and oppress black men. and it starts with the chokehold
While racial and ethnic discrimination is not lookng easy to recognize or recall, participants offered many concrete examples of discriminatory situations they encountered. There were American [patients] there. I took her to County General. Hispanic participant If your bell was on and the Caucasian lady, she doesn't even have to have her bell on.

I don't know if they would do the same thing to a white person. Hispanic participant [My wife] was treated badly. My husband called the hospital and told me not to any papers. It's changed now, but back then I don't lookkng we had some of the best medical officers or nurses. I felt bad.
Media portrayals and black male outcomes
They talk to you a little different, they treat you a bit differently. Let's send you to a specialist.
